#1: Download Aadhaar Card using Aadhaar Number
If you wish to download your Aadhaar card using your Aadhaar number, follow the steps as guided below:
Step 1. Go to the official UIDAI webpage with the help of this link: https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
Step 2. Under the “Enter your personal details” category, choose “Aadhaar” option to continue.
Step 3. Next make a quick selection for “Regular Aadhaar” and input your full name, Aadhaar number provided by the agents who issue your Aadhaar card in the centers, or you will get it when you apply for it online, your address pin code.
Step 4. Click on “OTP” to receive it on your registered phone number and go with “I Agree” to provide your personal details for validation.
Step 5. On clicking “Confirm” next, the OTP will be sent to your mobile directly by UIDAI database.
Step 6. Type in the OTP you just received on the webpage, and click on “Download Aadhaar” option to download it.
#2: Download Aadhaar Card using Virtual ID (VID)
Virtual ID or shortly abbreviated as VID is a new additional Aadhaar downloading feature introduced lately by UIDAI for citizen’s convenience. Read the steps below to know how to accomplish downloading using VID:
Step 1. Firstly go to UIDAI’s online portal system where you can click “Download Aadhaar” option to proceed with the download process.
Step 2. Under the “I Have” category, choose VID option.
Step 3. Now you have to enter your VID, Full name, Security code and Pin code.
Step 4. To get the OTP click on “Send OTP”. You can also choose the TOTP feature which is a more secured feature than mere OTP generation.
Step 5. Automatically your Aadhaar card in digital format will be downloaded to your computer or laptop you are currently using.
Step 6. Enter your 8 digit Aadhaar card password to open the PDF file.
NOTE: The first 4 letters of your full name in CAPITAL and then your date of birth.
#3: Download Aadhaar Card from DigiLocker Account
DigiLocker is a cloud server used for storing, sharing and verification of documents in digital format. UIDAI has recently collaborated with DigiLocker. Thus linking your DigiLocker account with UIDAI enables the users to download their e-aadhaar card from this digilocker account also.
This is how you can do it in steps:
Step 1. Sign-in to your DigiLocker Account from the link https://digilocker.gov.in/
Step 2. Click the “Sign-in” option and provide your 12 digit Aadhaar number.
Step 3. Next; click on “Verify to get OTP” option to receive your OTP.
Step 4. Input the OTP and click “Verify OTP”. Now the “Issued Document” page will turn up where you have to click “Save” option to start downloading the e-Aadhaar card to your system.
#4: Download Aadhaar Card using Name and Date of Birth
Your name and date of birth is something which you can never forget even if you forget VID or Aadhaar card number. Thus downloading e-Aadhaar with these basic details is far greater and easier than the previous methods. The steps are listed below:
Step 1. Click on the Aadhaar official website here:
Step 2. On the page enter your full name and either your security code/ email ID/ registered mobile number.
Step 3. Click “Send OTP” and enter the received OTP to click “Verify OTP” button.
Step 4. You will be notified that your Aadhaar enrolment number is sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 5. Visit the official UIDAI webpage and click “I have Aadhaar” option. Enter your Aadhaar enrolment number, full name, image Captcha, pin code.
Step 6. Click “Request OTP” and enter this OTP once more to click “Download Aadhaar” option. This will download your Aadhaar card to your system.
